July provisional reg candidates need to apply for GPhC assessment by May 31

The GPhC has asked provisionally registered pharmacists to apply for the upcoming registration assessment by May 31.

The next three-day long assessment will start from July 27. From May 10, registrants have been allowed to apply for the exams using the standard application form available on myGPhC.

Eligible provisional registrants who are unable to apply for the assessment due to the technical glitches have been advised to get in touch with the pharmacy regulator.

“If you are not able to the view the application form on or after this date, but think you may be eligible to apply, please contact us,” the pharmacy regulator said.

Candidates will receive a confirmation mail from the GPhC once they submit their application for the exams. Those confirmed will need to book a place through Pearson VUE to take the assessment.

“The confirmation you receive from us does not mean that you will automatically be entered to sit the assessment, even if you are eligible to do so. If you intend to sit, you must book a place through Pearson VUE,” the GPhC said, adding: “You will receive an email from Pearson VUE shortly after your confirmation email, with information to set up your Pearson VUE account. You will need to book your assessment sitting using this account.”

Assessment locations

Akin to the March assessment, eligible candidates will need to sit for the assessment at a Pearson Vue test centre, using the Pearson online system. There are over 200 centres across the UK.

As there is a limited capacity at each test centre, the GPhC suggests candidates consider a range of centres in case their first choice centre is not available.
