The announcement follows the recent confirmation of 18 National Clinical Directors as part of the 2024 cohort and coincides with six other recruitments.

Dr. Mann, a distinguished consultant and lead for women’s health in City and Hackney, North East London, brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise to this pivotal role.

Her responsibilities will include spearheading the strategy and facilitating the establishment of women’s health hubs throughout England to address various women's health concerns comprehensively, including menstrual health services and menopause assessment and treatment.

Additionally, Dr. Mann will collaborate with local care systems to establish a network of Women’s Health Champions, composed of senior leaders dedicated to advancing women’s health initiatives at the grassroots level.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Dr. Mann emphasized her commitment to addressing the challenges faced by women in accessing quality healthcare:

"Having spent my career researching, treating, and developing policy and initiatives focused on women’s health, I have seen firsthand the challenges many women face, as well as the progress that has been made through better understanding and awareness of conditions affecting women."

Government officials have praised Dr. Mann's appointment as a significant step towards achieving the objectives outlined in the Women’s Health Strategy.

Minister for Women’s Health Strategy Maria Caulfield highlighted the pivotal role Dr. Mann will play in ensuring women's needs remain central to decision-making processes.
