The Pharmacists' Defence Association (PDA) urged all pharmacy employers to ensure adequate ventilation in workplaces by sharing HSE (Health and Safety Executive) guidance on the topic.
Some pharmacists have expressed concern about working in poorly ventilated workplaces, highlighting many consultation rooms are without any ventilation, PDA said.
Reminding employers about their legal duty to maintain safe workplaces especially during the pandemic PDA said: “Employees and locums should not work in unsafe environments.”
“Members can contact the PDA Service Centre to receive guidance on their legal rights to challenge unsafe working conditions.”
