There is a still a significant gap between the cost of delivering NHS community pharmacy services and what pharmacies will be paid, the organisation said.
However, NPA stressed that the new funding deal still falls “a long way short of the NHS’s own estimates of the true cost of providing pharmacy services”.
Emergency Hormonal Contraception will be added to the Pharmacy Contraception Service as part of the newly agreed Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) for 2025/26.
